Providing Research Experiences to Undergraduate Scientists

Undergraduate research experiences substantially impact the short-term and long-term career trajectories of Biology majors, whether they go on to pursue professional or graduate degrees or whether they go immediately into the workforce. Students who engage in independent research are more competitive because these experiences can enhance their critical thinking and scientific communication skills while providing exposure to cutting edge/innovative technologies. Gifts will allow more of our students to engage in research and subsequently to network with other scientists across the country.
