Global Learning

The Center for Global Engagement (CGE) at JMU is tasked with helping students develop capacities they need to enter the workplace and society and to successfully collaborate with people from a wide array of backgrounds and experiences. To serve all students at JMU, the CGE has identified complementary global learning experiences that can be embedded in any course.  Through research and a grant from the State Department, CGE has piloted global virtual exchange and Collaborative Online International Learning (COIL) experiences.  To supplement these experiences, we have developed multimedia intercultural resources that could be used in courses across campus to build student’s intercultural capacities.
